Climate Emergency Conversations

The Climate Emergency Network host regular Wednesday Zoom seminars on Climate Change and the Environment. The video recordings of these meetings are their YouTube Channel. The seminars are hosted by Phoenix of the CEC Network and Space Generators. I think it would be worthwhile for us to look back at and reflect on these excellent talks – to that end I will use this page to invite conversation on two video that I will post here. I’m posting two rather than one or all because two gives a taste of the whole and allows us to focus on just one or two.

The first talk I would like to focus on is the one given by Jonathon Porritt – arguably the most prominent UK voice on the Climate Emergency for over half a century. The second is by Jamie Kelsey Fry the managing director of “One World Or None” of which he says on his Linked-In profile “This company exists with the sole motivation of bringing the revolutionary new governance infrastructures of sortition chosen citizens’ assemblies into peoples’ lives through popular culture.”

Both talks are about the climate emergency and its roots in the failures of democracy and social justice. Both are important, urgent and engaging. Please let’s look at the talks and talk about the issues. Do comment in the comments box at the bottom of the page.
