AI, Art and Story

The AI Drop-in Workshops will be open at Carpenters Community Cafe from Monday 8 April to Friday 12 April, 12.00 pm to 4.00 pm.

Exploring AI, Art and Storytelling these workshops will include the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to:

1) create whatever images you might imagine and

2) help you write stories and articles on any subject.

We will use free online tools like Playground.AI, ChatGTP for image and text generation and Canva for putting together a graphic novel from your images. The images you create can be saved on your own flash drives and shared on the Newham Mosaic website. Here is an example of the beginning of a graphic novel created using Canva:

The Easter workshops will be run by me, Gavin Sealey, and by graphics artist Trevor Jarvis who will be getting participants to step away from the computers to develop their own sketching skills, idea development and storyboarding. These workshops are open to adults and accompanied children. While participants will be able to drop in to these free and open workshops you are encouraged to register as a Newham Mosaic member at https://newhammosaic.org/mosaic-registration/ for priority places on the computer and in order to be part of the Newham Mosaic creative learning community.

If you are interested in this but are not able to attend the Easter Drop-in please drop in to our online Zoom workshop on Wednesdays at 7.00 pm. This is run by me and Graham Ogunleyle who has a background in teaching digital graphics. Like the Easter Workshops these workshops are open sessions and you may join using the following link:
