These are images from our second Diaspora Dreaming family workshop held on 9th December at Memorial Community Church. Thanks to Annie Smol for leading the workshop with the support of Rose, Feven, Darshi and Gavin. We were also supported by Andrew the vicar of Memorial Church. Well done to all of those mentioned and also to all the children, parents and other community members who participated in making this an enjoyable and productive community arts experience.
In the first workshop we stuck to pastels on card but in the second workshop paints were used and there was experimentation with printing and the use of different materials. Work by participants will feature in a gallery to be put online later. As with the first workshop Faith Ringgold was the main artist used for inspiration.
