Sometimes I write stuff that far too turgid. I’m making a practice of going back and deleting it and replacing with something simpler, more readable. Apologies for the stuff defining STEAM DREAMS that I posted before – this is what I meant to say:
STEAM DREAM is an informal gathering of community organisations and activists for the purpose of creative collaboration.
We are committed to ongoing dialogue – both online and in-person – for community-building and deepening mutual understanding.
The purpose of dialogue is to know ourselves and the challenges we face. That’s the starting point of strategy.
If we know both ourselves and the challenges we have an excellent chance of overcoming those challenges. If we know only the challenges or only ourselves then our chances diminish. If we know neither ourselves nor the challenges then we are bound to fail. (Sun Tzu)
