What’s Cooking at Roti Joupa

‘What’s Cooking’ is set to be a new section of the Newham Mosaic website and a regular feature on the Mosaic’s WhatsApp community. In this post we are highlighting the excellent ‘Roti Jupa’, a Caribbean, specifically Trinidadian, eat-in and take away restaurant in Vicarage Lane, Stratford. Roti Jupa is one of those ‘under-the-radar’, ‘if-you-know-you-know’ establishments that give value for money and value for people through great food, friendly service and fair prices.

At the end of November the Aunties and Nanas, of the Our Community Cares project, who run a food bank and food club and cooking classes at Memorial Church and St Luke’s Community Centre are going to Roti Joupa for their Christmas dinner. These women know a thing or two about food so that’s a high recommendation right there. But if that’s not enough, Roti Joupa featured in Time Out last month, as third in a list of twenty of the best Caribbean restaurants in London.

Roti Jupa is a small restaurant (seats a max of 15) not too far off the beaten track at 85 Vicarage Ln, London E15 4HG. If you know you know. Now you know.
