Despite the rain and cold of the autumnal evening a small but intrepid band of writers met at the Cornerstone Cafe on Barking Road to inaugurate the Mosasaic Writers Bookclub. After introductions we considered the first essay in James Baldwin’s ‘The Fire Next Time’. That essay is in the form of a letter and, as a writing exercise, the group wrote responses to Baldwin and read them to the group.
Group members, shown in the featured photograph, are Zhenreena, Gloria, Gavin, Annie, Sharon and Kate. Our next in person meeting is on Thursday 16th November, starting at 5.30 pm.
