Transition Newham – Open Event

July 1 @ 11:30 - 13:30

Join the Transition Town Newham Hub for an open community meeting on Wednesday, July 1st, 2026 (11:30 am–1:30 pm) at the Climate Emergency Space in Canning Town. This is the perfect chance to connect to the 42 groups affiliated to Transition_Newham, and to get to know about local environmental action, sustainable development, and how you can get involved in supporting the local community?

Local residents and community organisers are invited to shape local action. Engage in grassroots initiatives and community groups focused on housing, the cost of living, circular economy, sustainable art & craft, community gardening and local climate solutions. Build community networks and connect with like-minded neighbours, local stakeholders and community initiatives, to build a healthier and more resilient local community. Gain access to mentoring, advice, toolkits, and potential funding streams for community projects or school sustainability initiatives.

What specific environmental topics (e.g., energy retrofitting, air quality, or local food growing) are you most interested in?Are you looking for ways to get involved as a volunteer or are you just looking to learn and listen? Please sign up and join our Open Meeting: https://luma.com/inm42bg8
Cold drinks and refreshments provided!
