Outreach and Partnership

The first phase of the Newham Mosaic was ‘Outreach and Partnership’. During October we visited and developed relationships with a number of community groups in Newham. Among these groups are Jazanne Arts, the Cornerstone Cafe, the Carpenters Community Cafe, Hibiscus Centre. In addition to developing these creative partnerships we visited a number of venues offering activities and exhibitions as part of Black History Month.

An important part of the Outreach and Partnership work has been the establishment of the Newham Mosaic Community WhatsApp group. The WhatsApp group is regularly used for exchanging information and planning collaboration. During this period we have also continued to develop the project website as a resource that not only features the project but that is also an important feature of the project.
