At the University of East London Docklands Campus – two project teams from the CDT Maker Club and from the NAIC Dreamers project are working as ‘Makers and Dreamers’ to experiment with a Large Language Model (a chatbot) called Quen. We asked Notebook LM to create a video explaining our project.
It is a local LLM. It lives in Newham and a big difference between our Quen and AIs like ChatGPT is that it doesn’t have to connect to datacentres through the Internet. Everything it needs is on the local computers that can be owned and managed by the local community.
